What is My Lila?
The Food and Drug Administration cleared the Strawberry Laser in late 2013. The Strawberry Laser Plus™ System uses the FDA cleared strawberry laser and other clinical modalities to provide non-invasive body contouring. There are no injections, no pain, and no downtime, as stated by Dr. David Halpern, a board certified Plastic Surgeon in Tampa, FL on “The Doctors” television show.
Clients are treated for 30 minutes twice a week for a recommended ten total sessions. Noticeable results are typical immediately after one treatment, and patients can expect to lose an average of over 3.5” over the course of the eight session protocol. In addition to their laser treatments, clients are encouraged to drink lots of water and follow a healthy lifestyle regime including some form of exercise within 24 hours of each laser treatment.

A Non-invasive Alternative To Liposuction
The Strawberry Laser uses a specific wavelength of laser light to target adipocytes (fat cells). When the laser paddles are placed on the skin, the diode cold red laser penetrates the skin deep enough to reach the layers of fat. When the light hits the fat cells, pores form on the cells causing water, glycerol and fatty acids to spill out from within the cells.
Then, those components move into the interstitial space beneath the fatty layer in the skin, in which further water, fatty acids, and glycerol spill out. As a result, the adipocyte cells are therefore reduced in size. After that, the lymphatic system processes and removes the fat through the venous system.
“The popularity of non-invasive laser lipo is understandable. More and more people are looking for less invasive ways to get rid of what many clients refer to as stubborn fat- the fat that just won’t go away no matter what you do,” says SkinLaze Manager Christophe Marin. “It’s the next big thing in the field of body contouring.”
